The Migration Memory Research and Resources Centre in Aragon has got involved in the current debate on migrations. We carry out this task from a critical, civic and social point of view, aiming to enhance social cohesion and knowledge as well as to build shared values which may allow us to “live together” in the current society.
Its design will allow us to watch, listen, read and understand the migrations in Aragon–Spain–the World from a collection of different sources, materials and formats, whose main and fundamental purpose is focused on the collection of the memory and the diverse dimensions which constitute it, gathering the experiences lived by those
men and women willing to share their lives, besides donations and objects exhibitions.
It is conceived as a meeting point for discussion, including the contemporary artistic expression and performance art contributing to the critical thinking, enabling us to understand our present and future world.
This centre will be located at the building adjoined to the "Moliné", a space with 200m2 divided in several floors, included in the Project for the Flour Mill Restoration, found in the Guisar Sq. in Barbastro (Huesca), as part of a Cultural Centre Project.
